We’re taking steps to reach zero-emissions transportation

The Environmental Protection Agency recorded that the transportation sector generated 29% of greenhouse gas emissions in 2019. We are committed to reducing the impact of our vehicles on the environment.

Here are the three key steps we will take to reach zero-emissions transportation:

1. Replace Via’s fleet of 17 diesel HOP buses with zero-emission electric buses by 2030.
2. Replace Via’s 120 gas-powered paratransit fleet with zero-emission vehicles by 2035.
3. Build a microgrid infrastructure at our headquarters to capture solar energy. We will store this energy in batteries to power our facilities and charge our electric fleets with renewable energy.
