Via Mobility Services Awarded $1.5 Million Grant for Renewable Energy Microgrid

Recently, Via Mobility Services was awarded a $1.5 million grant from the Clean Transit Enterprise (CTE) division of the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to construct a renewable energy microgrid at our Boulder headquarters. This grant supports Via’s strategic transition to a fully zero-emission fleet by 2035. The microgrid will not only assist Via in achieving this significant goal but will also make our campus a more resilient and sustainable operating system, especially during crises such as wildfires, floods, and other threats to the public we proudly serve.

Frank W. Bruno, Via’s CEO, shared his appreciation for the CTE’s support, saying, “This grant is an incredible opportunity to build the Microgrid and strengthen the essential services Via has provided for over 45 years.”
