Ride Free This Summer with Via Mobility Services: Zero Fare, We’ll Get You There!

Zero Fare Paratransit Service Begins June 1

At Via Mobility Services, we believe freedom of movement is a basic human need. Starting June 1, 2025, we are proud to offer fare-free rides on our paratransit services through August 31, 2025. This summer, you can ride with ease—no fares, no gas, no stress.

Thanks to funding from the Colorado Association of Transit Agencies (CASTA), we’re eliminating fares for seniors and people with disabilities across our service area, seven days a week. This means more access to community, appointments, family, and everyday independence.

Why Zero Fare Matters

Even a small fare can be a barrier for many. Our vision is a future where everyone, regardless of age, health, or income, can access the mobility options they need to live independently. This summer’s Zero Fare initiative brings us closer to that future.

What Is the Zero Fare Program?

Zero Fare for Better Air is a statewide effort supported by Colorado Senate Bill 22-180 and the Colorado Energy Office. This program encourages transit use to reduce pollution, cut commuting costs, and ease traffic congestion during Colorado’s high-ozone summer months.

The Benefits of Riding Transit

  • Zero Gas: Reduce your fuel costs and emissions. Transit saves the U.S. 6 billion gallons of gas annually.
  • Zero Cash: Public transportation can save families up to $10,000 a year by reducing car use.
  • Zero Stress: Skip the traffic. Enjoy your ride—read, relax, or catch up on your day.
  • Better Air: Transit helps reduce ground-level ozone and carbon emissions that harm our health and environment.
  • More Freedom: Via has been helping Coloradans stay mobile since 1979. When you ride, you support a local nonprofit, not out-of-state shareholders.

How to Ride for Free

Simply check your schedule at ViaColoradoSelf-Service.org, hop on board, and enjoy the ride. No fares. No tickets. No hassle.

Share the Ride, Share the Love

If you ride with us this summer, snap a photo and share it using #ZeroFare or #BetterAir to spread the word. You’re not just saving money—you’re supporting a cleaner, more inclusive Colorado.

Looking Ahead

This fall, Via’s Board of Directors will consider whether to extend fare-free service through the winter. In the meantime, we’re here to serve—with integrity, respect, and care.

Zero Fare. We’ll Get You There.
