Paratransit

Paratransit ProgramCall-up, on-demand, door-to-door transportation.
The heart of Via. A ride on our paratransit service is more than just a trip. While we get you from one place to another, what you’ll experience is so much more. A new community will open up to you while you ride including friendly, helpful drivers and other riders whom you’ll get to know.

ParatransitWhat does paratransit mean?
Paratransit is an alternative mode of flexible passenger transportation that does not follow fixed routes or schedules. Via’s paratransit program is an on-demand, call-up, door-to-door transportation service from any origin to any destination in our service area. This is a shared ride service and schedules change daily based on where riders need to go. You may request door-through-door assistance. Drivers assist riders on and off the bus.

How do I become a rider?
It starts with one call. Anyone interested in learning more is encouraged to call our Mobility Specialist at 303-447-2848 ext.1014. You will be asked a few questions to assess your travel and mobility needs and to see if the paratransit program is right for you. If appropriate, the Mobility Specialist can schedule your first ride. Other transportation options may also be discussed. (more)
