Celebrate the HOP bus route’s 21st birthday Oct. 7 through Oct. 14

Celebrate the HOP bus route’s 21st birthday Oct. 7 through Oct. 14

One of Boulder’s iconic bus routes is turning 21. To celebrate, the City of Boulder invites the community to participate in a variety of events, special promotions and social media contests, Oct. 7 through Oct. 14. Partnering with CU-Boulder, RTD and Via Mobility Services, the city will provide free service on the HOP during the celebration week.

As part of a larger transit network in the Boulder area, the HOP is reaching a major milestone in its operational history. The HOP is one of three local bus routes that serve the downtown Boulder core, helping people get to work, school, errands and home. HOP launched service in October 1994 and currently provides more than 3,000 rides per day.
