At the Northwest Regional TDM Coordinating Council Winter Hybrid Meeting, hosted by Commuting Solutions at Via Mobility Services’ Boulder facility, CEO Frank Bruno shared exciting updates about Via’s future.
At Via Mobility Services, we believe access to transportation is essential for independence and quality of life. Since 2012, our Boulder headquarters has been a hub for mobility solutions, and we’re excited about the future of sustainable transit in our region.
We recently expanded our campus, acquiring additional land to develop a zero-emission vehicle maintenance and job training center. This collaboration with the University of Colorado, Boulder Valley Schools, and local governments will create workforce development opportunities while supporting the transition to electric vehicles.
Sustainability remains a core focus. Our fleet is growing with new electric buses, and thanks to a $1.5 million grant from CDOT’s Clean Transit Enterprise, we are building a solar-powered microgrid to support our energy needs. These efforts align with our goal of fully transitioning to electric transit by 2035.
Beyond providing vital transportation, Via proudly serves as a second responder in times of crisis, assisting with emergency evacuations and disaster response. Our commitment to community service goes beyond mobility—it’s about ensuring safety, access, and resilience for all. Learn More: Community Benefit Statement
We also acknowledge the City of Longmont’s new microtransit program, an exciting addition to regional transit options. However, we recognize ongoing confusion between Via Mobility Services and a private New York-based company with a similar name. Addressing this issue is a priority as we continue strengthening our 46-year-old presence and relationships with riders, partners, and donors.
As we move forward, we remain committed to innovation, sustainability, and expanding mobility solutions for all. Stay tuned for more updates as we bring these projects to life!
