Protecting Our Name, Preserving Our Mission

For 46 years, Via Mobility Services has been a trusted provider of accessible transportation across Colorado, serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those needing reliable mobility options. Originally founded as Special Transit in 1979, our mission has always been to provide safe, affordable, and inclusive transportation that fosters independence and community connection.

Recently, an out-of-state company, Via Transportation Inc., has started using the Via name in the region, leading to confusion among riders, donors, and community partners. Their branding—seen on the Ride Longmont shuttle—has caused many to mistake their services for ours.

Despite years of good-faith discussions and legal efforts, no resolution has been reached. We are asking Via Transportation Inc. to respect our long-standing presence in Boulder, Longmont, and the greater Front Range by discontinuing the use of “Via” in this region.

We remain committed to providing high-quality, caring, and accessible paratransit services, ensuring that Coloradans can access healthcare, grocery stores, jobs, and community resources with dignity and ease.
