National Siblings Day

In honor of National Siblings Day, we want to introduce you to two sisters who have worked for Via for a combined 54 years!

Jamie began her career at Via in 1985. At the time, our organization was a mear six years young! Over the last 34 years, Jamie has been a dispatcher, scheduler, detailer and she even did a stint in our Finance department. She has worked in nearly every department at Via aside from our Maintenance team, but hey, there’s still time! Today, she spends her days as a float driver, helping various divisions as needed.

In 1999, Jamie recruited her sister Denise to join Via’s team. Like Jamie, Denise has worn many hats over the years as a driver, in Via’s call center, and now Denise runs Via’s paratransit division as our Mission Services Manager.

Jamie and Denise have seen a lot of change over the years, but their love for the work has only grown.

“Our commitment to the community and one another has made Via more than just a job. I can’t begin to count how many times our riders have told me how much they depend on us,” shared Jamie.

We’re fortunate to have these two on board, and we hope they stick around for years to come.
