Via has been named the 2020 Innovation of the Year award winner by the Colorado Association of Transit Agencies (CASTA) for our work with the Boulder County Farmer’s Market and other community partners.
Earlier this year, Via experienced a significant decrease in ridership due to the Covid-19 pandemic. At the same time, various partners reached out to Via for help with deliveries, so we shifted our focus from moving people to delivering goods to those in need.
The award honors a transit agency that has created and implemented innovative programs, practices, partnerships, policies, and activities that improve the agency’s ability to serve riders and the community.
