This Colorado Gives Day, December 7th, 2021, over 200 supportive community members generously contributed $39,043.46 to support Via Mobility Services’ lifeline mobility services for older adults. The Paige Foundation stretches donor dollars by matching the first $15,000, bringing Via’s grand total to $54,043.46.
The Paige Foundation, donors like you, and Via empower older adults in our community to connect with vital community resources like healthcare, education, jobs, healthy foods, and social and cultural events. The funds raised will enable older people to access accessible transportation with the support of trained drivers, who often go above and beyond with door-through-door service if requested.
Via’s Development Manager, Zoe DeVito, shares, “The Paige Foundation’s matching grant is a tremendous benefit to the community because it helps make our mission services a reality every year, and it’s a huge incentive for donors, too.”
Last year, The Paige Foundation supported Via’s services for older adults in our community with a $10,000 matching grant, and donors contributed $46,721.95.
You helped fuel us while we drove 517,068 miles over 46,427 hours!
With your help, Via supported 3,041 individual older adults and people with disabilities with 90,663 on-demand trips in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle in 2020. Via provided nearly 15,000 trips to access healthcare and more than 10,000 trips to ensure access to nutritious food. Riders took almost 5,000 trips to access employment or volunteer opportunities.
Many people who gave this year are first-time donors, meaning that many of our long-time supporters have been sharing their stories of why they support Via, like rider and Board Member, Debra Noel.
Thank you so much for those efforts. You made a difference!
We’re honored that so many people have joined our charge to build stronger, healthier communities along the northern Front Range and are grateful for your support.
The Paige Foundation
The mission of the Herbert and Judy Paige Family Foundation is to support education, animals, and older adults through our endowment and donor engagement. During their lifetimes, Herbert and Judy Paige were passionate about supporting their local animal shelter, and helped struggling older adults to pay their bills. They also generously offered scholarships to young citizens in their community who were unable to afford the costs of a college education. Herb and Judy created the Paige Family Foundation with the strong belief that, “the education of youth is the most efficient and effective method of improving the welfare, condition, and future of all communities, citizens and families. The basis of all human improvement begins with education.” This ideal drives our educational mission today.
The Herbert and Judy Paige Family Foundation was founded in June 2000 and we received our official 501(c)(3) exemption letter as a Private Family Foundation in 2007. Our Board members and staff live and work in Colorado. We focus our giving in California and Colorado.
