Mobilizing Generosity: The Power of #HalfMyDAF

At Via Mobility Services, our accessible transportation services enhance the quality of life for the people we serve. Community members like you can help make a big difference for Via Riders with #HalfMyDAF, a movement where Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) donors channel funds into immediate, impactful action. DAF donors help adults with disabilities like Dave commute to work. DAF donors also help older neighbors like Suzy attend adult day center programs.

Donor support is more important than ever, as 1,000 more people with mobility limitations want to ride with Via above our current capacity. Most people waiting to ride with Via live in Denver, Jefferson, Adams, and Boulder counties. All of them are older and/or live with a long-term disability. They want to travel to medical facilities, food banks, senior centers, and other vital community resources.

“Sometimes, I can’t go to the doctor when I need to. My family can’t bring me where I need to go, so it would make a big difference to be able to ride with Via.” Michael G., an older adult who wants to ride with Via

This is where concerned, caring community members like you and the #HalfMyDAF movement step in. By providing $2.1 million in matching funds, #HalfMyDAF encourages DAF holders to donate at least half of their funds by the end of September 2024. Your impact can be doubled! That means even greater independence for our older and disabled neighbors, who can attend medical appointments and social activities instead of remaining confined at home.

In addition to doubling DAF donations, #HalfMyDAF will award random nonprofits to receive matching grants of up to $25,000. It’s an exciting time to show your support of Via Mobility Services and amplify Mobility for All!
