Face coverings still required on all Via services

[Updated December 6, 2021]

As most businesses lift face-covering mandates throughout the Boulder-Denver Metro region, Via wants to remind the public that masks remain required on public transit through March 18, 2022 per federal mandate.

All riders and operators of Via Paratransit, the HOP, Access-a-Ride, FlexRide, or any other service that Via operates must wear a face covering while on board. Free masks are available to any rider who may not have a face-covering.

The federal mask requirement on public transportation, which remains in effect, initially took effect on Feb. 1, 2021 and pertains to the use of buses, trains, airplanes, stations, and airports. To read the order or review frequently asked questions about it, visit the FTA website.

To request accommodations, please contact Dena Boutwell, Safety Director, via email at safety@viacolorado.org or by phone at 303-444-3052.
