Lenna Kottke, Via’s executive director, was recently interviewed on the city of Boulder’s Inside Boulder program and discussed the organization’s name change with show co-hosts, Jennifer Bray and Patrick von Keyserling.
Kottke explained that the organization had outgrown the name Special Transit as it no longer provided a good description of the breadth of services offered. “We’re much more than a provider of rides,” she said.
She said Via was a one-call resource for people with limited mobility and their families as well as for communities that were committed to access and inclusion for all their citizens.
