Amazon Smile is a simple and automatic way for you to support Via every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at Amazon Smile, Amazon will donate a small percentage (0.5%) of the purchase price to Via. Everything else about the Amazon online shopping experience stays the same, including the shopping cart, wish lists and shipping.
How do I do this?
When you are ready to shop, start by clicking on this link to Amazon Smile, which automatically designates Via Mobility Services as your chosen charity. If you purchase by going to the regular Amazon.com site, we don’t get anything.
Share this link with your friends so they can shop for Via too!: http://smile.amazon.com/ch/84-0777296
- You’ll need to have an Amazon.com account. If you have more than one Amazon.com account, you’ll need to select Via Mobility Services as the chosen charity on each one.
- You have to do your shopping at Amazon Smile in order for Via to receive the percentage of your purchase. If you forget and log into your regular Amazon account, you’ll receive a reminder about shopping for Via at Amazon Smile once you’ve selected us as your chosen charity.
- You will see eligible products marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages.
- There is no cap on the amount Amazon will donate and almost every product sold by the company is eligible.
What’s the catch?
While we think that Amazon is great for setting this up, the “catch” is that Amazon is making the donation not you. On the other hand, this 0.5% would otherwise be profit to Amazon, so we might as well benefit from this!
If you want the tax deduction, you can always use our Online Donation page to donate money directly to us.
